Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant

The first phase of the second phase of the Asia-Pacific region and the only two thousand MW
MW power plant in Bangladesh is progressing rapidly. The project hopes the work will be
completed by December 2016, the concerned construction company But the main work of the project
will start one more year after a separate loan agreement. This loan agreement will be discussed in the
beginning of next year. This will be based on the real and environmental conditions of the project in
the
area. However, for the project area, more than 623 acres of land has been proposed for acquisition of
the
respective builders. The government will not have to spend any money separately to acquire this land.
Proposal to use the land of Ruppur Nuclear Power Project, a huge char, awakening the Padma River.
Earlier, in 1961, the land was acquired for the acquisition of land for the Ruppur Nuclear Power Station,
ending in 1963. On the banks of the Padma river, southwest of Harding Bridge, two hundred 59 acres of
land was acquired. There is also a need for adequate water for nuclear reactor-cooling. That water is now
far from the original project area. What is the path of the river in the future, it is special. According to the
sources, in 1961, plans for construction of Ruppur Nuclear Power Project of Pakshi Union in Ishwardi
upazila were taken. In the last four and a half years, the main flow of the Padma river has been almost
two kilometers away. As well as a huge river in the river. The river has become weak. A high-powered
officer of the project said that the power plants, project cooler towers and various security related
structures will be built in the uplift of the river, raised in the Padma river. The Ministry of Land, Ministry
of Science and Technology has visited several progressive officials in the field of supervising the
progress of land acquisition proceedings. Meanwhile, a source in the Ministry of Land said that the
Khas land waking up in Padma river would not cost any money to acquire this land. Sehutu will be
working for land acquisition soon. According to the source, Russian state-owned company
"ROSATOM" Its subsidiary company Niyapas did the work of this project. The company will take the
hydal deployment and other measures depending on their survey. It will rely on the movement of river
flow. The project is expected to end in December 2016. Under the terms of the agreement between the
Russian state-owned company ROSATAM and the Government of Bangladesh, Russia will set up two
reactors for each one thousand MW capacity. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina established the first
foundation stone of the project on October 2 last year. Rupapura nuclear power project is being created
by tolerating eight-quake earthquake. If this power plant of 2 thousand MW is produced, then there
will be a radical change in the electricity problem of Bangladesh.
Currently, the total electricity demand of Bangladesh is 7,000 MW, out of which 6,000 MW is capable
of producing power. Bangladesh will be able to achieve the record of 1,000 megawatts of electricity
surplus every year if the 2,000 megawatt electricity produced in the Nuclear Power Plant is added to
the national grid. It is also believed that the nation will be released from load shedding when it comes
 to production.

In 1973, when the Bangabandhu government died, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
died at a time when the death of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was overdue with
the Russian government to build a nuclear power plant in Ruppur. But the Prime Minister of
the present government, the Honorable Prime Minister, Bangabandhu daughter
Sheikh Hasina, has no plans to start the project again after hoping for power. In continuation
of this, discussions with the Russian team for a few rounds to launch this project. After
46 years, the government has taken initiatives to launch this project at a cost of 26 thousand
crore.
